A field visit was made by KVK, Namsai to Krishnapur village adopted last year under NICRA-TDC on 5.4.24 to monitor the brooding management of poultry chick's (Kalinga-brown) & ducklings (Mohini, cross between white Pekin and Pati duck) distributed 7 days back. 400 chick's and 200 ducklings were received from Govt, duck and poultry breeding farm, Joysagar, Govt. Of Assam and distributed amongst the farmers and no mortality was observed till date. Dr. BKD Borah, SMS, Animal Science briefed to the unit holders about early management of birds and schedule vaccination. They also visited paddy cum duck cum fish cum horticulture based IFS model developed by Mr. Binanda Sonowal, a progressive farmer of Waisali village guided by KVK, Namsai.
